Culver's to Help 238 Students Purchase FFA Jackets
USAgNet - 05/22/2017

Culver's continues to step-up its efforts in helping students who belong to the FFA. For the second year in a row, the Wisconsin-based restaurant chain is offering a way to cover the cost of purchasing FFA jackets for students who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford one.

Working alongside the National FFA Organization and Foundation, Culver's raised over $30,000 and will present 238 deserving FFA members with their very own FFA jacket this fall. A similar effort last year helped 153 students buy an iconic blue and gold corduroy jacket, which is part of the group's official dress code.

"For FFA members who have such a passion for agriculture, wearing the blue jacket is a sign of their commitment to the future of agriculture," said Culver's Marketing Manager Jessie Corning. "We're proud to provide jackets to these deserving students."

The program is part of Culvers' 'Thank You Farmers initiative,' which for the past four years aimed to educate its customers about where their food comes from while raising money for the National FFA Foundation.
