Natural Gas Prices Fall Below $3

Natural Gas prices fell $.13 this week, closing at $2.93/MMbtu..
The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $1.17 per barrel over last week, and is currently priced at $49.30.
Brent crude oil was up $1.49 and is currently priced at $52.27.
One year ago WTI crude sold for $38.28 and Brent crude was at $36.75.
As of Tuesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.27 across Iowa according to AAA. This is down $.02 from last week and $.21 higher than one year ago. The national average on Tuesday was $2.29, holding steady at last week's price.
Retail diesel fuel prices in Iowa were down a penny with a statewide average of $2.44. One year ago diesel prices averaged $2.09 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel average is $.06 lower than the national average of $2.50.
Wholesale ethanol prices were up $.04 from last week's price, closing at $1.59.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $1.55 for U87-E10, $1.75 for Unleaded 87 (clear), ULSD#2 is at $1.62, ULSD#1 is at $1.75, and E-70 is priced at $1.63 per gallon.
Propane prices were $.02 lower than last week's report, with a statewide average of $1.19 per gallon. Home heating prices are down a penny from last week, ending with a statewide average of $1.94. Natural Gas prices are down $.13 at the Henry Hub
reporting site and ended the week at $2.93 / MMbtu.
